Hmm...
A lot has happened since I last posted..
- May/June 2011 - My boyfriend flew in for a visit and he stayed here for 2 weeks. It was a fun 2-week vacation for both of us. We basically just wandered around the malls, ate our hearts out, hang out in my room, met up with some of my friends and family, shopped - like a lot, and, well really, we spent time together.
- June/September 2011 - I was super depressed for being away from my boyfriend again. So, I spent this time hanging out with friends. This was the time where my friend, M and I sorta got to hang out with a bunch of new people who are into metal. These were the months were I was like drinking virtually every weekend. It was fun in a good/bad sorta way.
- September 2011 - I threw a house party for my birthday. I invited some of my closest friends over for a night of laid back but a little hardcore drinking session (5PM to 5AM the next day). Did I mention that this was the time where I was drinking quite often and a little more than normal? :) It came out fun, weird and exciting, which is, really, all good in my book.
- September/October 2011 - I got to watch real good Filipino movies during these times. I figured that I needed to highlight this because I don't exactly watch local movies but, these movies caught my attention and rightly so! I mean, it made me realize that the Philippine film industry is really moving forward now by producing such quality film/stories. PS. I am talking about "Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank", "Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington" and "No Other Woman". During these months I got to watch "Here Comes The Bride" which I also really liked.
- October/November 2011 - We had a little Halloween get-together at work and I did a Sugar skull look. I liked how I did my makeup, even if I sometimes look like the Cheshire cat in some angles, the only thing about it was that nobody except myself and my friend B knows what a Sugar skull is. Oh well!
- November 2011 - This was the last month that I drank quite heavily. My friend M and I attended her old roommates birthday celebration at Distillery in Eastwood. Aside from this being my last heavy drinking spree of 2011, this was also quite memorable because this was the first time M and I really partied. Our usual has always been at some hole in a wall joint, all casual and down, drinking beer and munching on fries. However, this was the time, our first time together, to be drinking purely heavy liquor. So, yeah - that was fun. :) Hmm, I think I want to do it again, now.
- November 2011 - I went to Puerto Galera with some of my really close friends. We only spent the weekend there, by the beach shot glasses on one hand and beer bottles on the other. I was a fun trip and full of adventure. From going there straight from work, me as the navigator, hot boat ride to the island, grilled pork belly and eggplant all the way (!!!), and of course, shots and beer. Oh, the boat that should have transported us back to the main island left us so we spent 3 hours waiting for the next boat. While waiting, we used that time to watch the Pacquiao-Morales fight.
- November/December 2011 - A real hectic month at work. (Boooo!!) B and I got transferred from our super boss Sam to reporting directly to the Director. It was not fun, at all. We got swamped with work, actually - until now. :(
- December 2011 - Got my tattoo re-done. Bittersweet. That's all I can say.
- December 2011 - Spent Christmas with the family. We ate noche buena (Christmas dinner) with a cousin and her dad - it was fun to bond with them. Oooh! and I appreciate everything that I got for Christmas - from the lotions, body sprays, lippies, chocolates, mugs, keychains - everything!
- January 2012 - Spent New Year with the family. We ate media noche (New Year's Eve dinner) with a bunch of my cousins and some uncles and aunt. It was a memorable and fun celebration because we got to send out sky lanterns with our wishes written on it! How fun is that? :)
Whew, wow. So, apparently, those were the high points of the second half of my 2011. But, of course, there should be more... Oh, November 25th was Happy's first birthday. So, that's another big thing, ya? :|
Anyway, this year, I plan to update my blog regularly - at least once a week. Also, I figured that I am inclined to direct the flow of this blog to a more personal level and not purely about beauty (was it ever, really?!). I guess, that's about it! :)
Here's to more good things to come this year! :)
