And guess what? Today, I have come to the point where I am not getting much product on the wand when trying to use it. Not fun. Not fun.
So, I went for a search on how I can make sure that I have really used up all my product because I know there's more in there (with the bottle shape and all - there's got to be!). Well, I chanced upon several depotting videos that I thought I could use to solve my problem/mystery. After much research - I think I picked the best way to do this (for me, at least). :)
Here goes~
The Basics:
Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer
Empty resealable pot - where we can deposit the product
Scraper
Perti dish of sorts
Alcohol and paper towels - to sanitize equipment
Tweezers
Microwave oven
Directions:
1. Sanitize equipment (primer bottle, resealable pot, scraper and perti dish) to minimize chance of contamination.
Ok, so this is optional - I, personally, just want to take this extra step to be cute. Hahaha! But, really, better safe than get eye infection or unimaginable eyelid acne.
2. Remove the plastic stopper in the bottle with clean tweezers.
3. Zap in the microwave to melt product - approximately, 20-30 seconds (depending on the power of your nuker)
I found out that I had to nuke this every so often because it cools off quite fast.
Also, the bottle can be warm/hot (depending on your tolerance) after nuking. So, be-aware and take care! :)
4. Tap the bottle in the petri dish to pour the product out and scrape to deposit in the pot.
Again, if you're not getting much product out (and it's obvious that there's still more) - it may need another trip to the microwave.
After much zapping and tapping - check-out how much product I managed to scrape off the damn bottle!
Lookie-looky - it's empty! :)5. Tightly screw the cap of the pot to ensure freshness of the product.
Wow, yeah?
I can't believe how much product I would have wasted if I didn't tried this. Wow!
My Verdict:
This is awesome!
From now on, I'm gonna - depotdepotdepot. :)
:) Lovelovelove!
you ought to transfer it in a glass jar, sis.
ReplyDeletei tried depotting udpp before. i put it in a plastic jar like yours & 2 plastic twist pens.
you won't be able to maximize it because eye primers, when exposed to air, has the tendency to dry fast....
*sigh*
that's why in a way i'm quite happy na hindi na ko kelangan bumili ng udpp e.EH proof 10 primer is a great alternative..but the packaging still sucks.
:(
that's why i just remove the stopper rather than take it off of the bottle.
oh, great tip!! its starting to dry out a bit na actually, but not so much (good thing). i'll go ahead and transfer it in a glass jar to hopefully salvage my salvaged primer. hahaha!
ReplyDeleteyou're so right. proof 10 also works for me na i don't think i'll feel the need to splurge on udpp anytime soon. :)
super thanks for the tips! i may post an update soon. x
